Me-Made-May 2015: week 4

mmmay15 week 4

I’ve worn me-made all week long, and since Monday, I’ve been wearing exclusively skirts and dresses! That’s one of the things I love most about summer:¬†easy dressing. The temperatures have been inching up toward into¬†80s this week, and for the Pacific Northwest, that is plenty warm, especially for this lady whose home isn’t air conditioned at all. Already my sewing room is taking the hit–it settled in at above 80 degrees today. Ugh. Don’t be surprised if I move my sewing operation downstairs occasionally over the next few months.

Monday, May 25: For Memorial Day in the States, I wore my Bristol skirt for the first time. We had a pretty low-key holiday, which is always a win in my book. (Blogged here.)

Tuesday, May 26: I pulled out my Colette Laurel dress for the first time of the season. I don’t love it as much as I remember, but it was cool and comfy. Though I did do some pattern tracing, and this dress is not ideal for all the stretching and reaching involved in such an activity. It’s better suited to watching a movie, eating ice cream, or both. (Blogged here.)

Wednesday, May 27: I know this isn’t a good picture of this Colette Moneta dress, but I couldn’t take a single decent one, and opted for a lounging shot instead. This particular dress began as a wearable muslin and is now in frequent rotation during the summer. (Blogged here.)

Thursday, May 28: Today was another day for another dress, and the Christine Haynes Marianne dress fit the bill for the second week in a row. I couldn’t get Asher to take a single decent picture with me, and some days you just take what you can get, right? (Dress currently unblogged.)

Thanks for continuing to follow along, and we have only a few more days left! (Phew, kind of?) Happy weekend!
