what I’m into {January}

Happy Friday, lovelies! Today I’m linking up with Leigh Kramer and talking about the things this month that I’m loving. (And after my 2-year-old was diagnosed with pinkeye yesterday, I’m needing to focus on the lovely things!)

:: MAC highlighter and blush. I’m in love with these products. I bought them with some gift card money, and they gave my makeup routine a much needed refresh. While I love nice makeup, I have a hard time justifying the purchase unless I have gift money. These iridescent palettes are just what I needed. (And they are the last of a limited editing, so I’ll be distraught when I use them up.)

:: Nutella and graham crackers. Could there be a better mid-afternoon snack? Well, there could easily be some contenders in that category, but this Nutella is hard to beat.

:: Reruns. In January I like to stand by my favorites, and TV reruns perfectly fit the bill. This month it’s been Downton Abbey and Parks & Recreation.

:: Hand lettering. I’m taking a script lettering class on Atly, and I’ve really enjoyed it. Though I don’t exactly need another hobby, I sure do like this one.

:: Cast-iron skillets. For Christmas I got a set of two cast-iron skillets, and I’m crazy about them. I used to be intimidated by cast iron, but it’s really not hard to care for. It’s easy to keep clean, and re-seasoning is a small extra step. I use them all the time.

:: Hot cocoa and Peppermint Pattie creamer. Obviously. Am I ever not into cocoa?

What have you been into this month? Anything I need to know about? Linking up here.

    I feel the same way about my MAC limited edition products! I have a bronzer from a limited edition line that I’ve used so much there’s a spot where I can see the bottom pan. I panicked and purchased other bronzers so I can reserve the MAC one for special occasions 🙂 Stopping by to say hello from the What I’m Into linkup party!

      Thanks for saying hi! I am crushing hard on these MAC products and am already dreading when they run out! They’re perfection!

    I have never used a cast iron skillet! Based on the number of recipes on Pinterest requiring one, though, I need one!

    I love Parks & Rec, too – I’m definitely going to cry happy/sad tears at the end!

      I was surprised at how simple cast iron is to care for. And I asked for mine mainly because I wanted to bake a giant skillet cookie! Take the plunge!

    A script lettering class sounds so cool! I bought a cast iron fryer a few years ago but I have yet to season it. One of these days…
