sewing-themed threads :: a holiday gift guide

2014 holiday guide2

Want something thoughtful and different to give to your seamstress this year? Sewing-themed clothes is hands-down a win. Sure, the seamstress loves to sew her own clothes, but I’m sure she’ll be thrilled with some clever, sewing-related screen printing!

1. Sewing machine sweatshirt. I’m dying over this screen printed sweatshirt. The vintage machine makes this find both casual and chic. You can find them at Moxie Madness.

2. Shears t-shirt. My cousin gave me this shirt three years ago, and I was determined to find it for this holiday gift guide. (I’m not sure where my cousin bought it, but I found this in the FriendlyOak Etsy shop.) It’s a close-fitting t-shirt and sends out vibes to get you in the sewing zone.

3. Sewing motto shirt. If you sew clothes, you know that “measure twice, cut once” is akin to sewing gospel. Best to double check your measurements and sizes before slicing into that cut of 100-percent wool, am I right? This shirt is from See Kate Sew, and I may ask Santa to put it in my stocking. (Psst! Kate also makes a coordinating tote bag!)

4. Another sewing machine shirt. Because what seamstress can have too many sewing-machine screen printed t-shirts, right? Another product of See Kate Sew, this number looks both comfy and cute. It also comes in different color options!

5. Button necklace. I love a simple and unique accessory. This button necklace is simple enough to go with anything and interesting enough to spark a few compliments. (Again, Santa, are you reading this?) You can find this neck in the Gwen Delicious Etsy shop.

6. Scissors ring. Again, simple accessories do it for me every time. Don’t you just love how the scissors bend around the ring? You can find this sweet item at That Winsome Girl Etsy shop.

Where at all possible I tried to source directly to shops. Any links to Amazon products are through my affiliate links. I am receiving no compensation for any of my recommendations, and if you feel inclined to share this holiday guide, please do!
