Knitcation results are in!

Thanks so much for all the support you gave me on the knitcation contest! Honestly, it really means so much. The results are in, and the contest has some wonderful winners. Go to Colette Patterns’s blog to see the winning wardrobes!

Yes, I’m naturally disappointed that I didn’t win yards upon yards of knit fabric, but CP did mention my entry and link to the post! So that’s a win in my book.

Today the Wilson crew comes into town, so I’ll be having an actual staycation (though the itinerary won’t be exactly what I outlined in my knitcation entry!). Today I’m sporting my gray Mabel with a coral gray bird tee (day 3 of my contest entry). Josh and I are picking up his brother and his wife at the airport later this morning, and then I think the plan is to chill this afternoon. I have a cake to assemble and frost, and that dessert will merit an entire post of its own. (Teaser: it’s a chocolate salted caramel cake–jaw drop.)¬†We’re hitting up the coast on the Fourth and plan to just have a lovely, staycation-y kind of weekend (a weekend full of my new summer knit staples–obviously).

Happy 4th of July!

Congrats on your mention! That is awesome! I have a friend who won the blue ribbon in a Taste of Home dessert contest but can’t win in our local strawberry festival recipe contest. I like that you (and she) keep trying. I do get wanderlust, and one day it may just take me up to Portland. Your itinerary sounds delightful.
